University School Sharks edges Gonzaga Prep Bullpups 58-53 in Florida high school basketball game

University School Forward Vernon Carey Jr. led the way with 19 points as the Sharks beat Gonzaga Prep Bullpups 58-53 in a game.

Carey Jr.’s points came on 7 field goals and 5 of 5 free throws during the game.

Liam Lloyd added 13. Gonzaga Prep fell to 7-1 overall while University School improved their record to 1-0.

Gonzaga Prep’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Jan. 4 at 7:15pm versus Central Valley.
