Kankakee Valley’s Kaylee Barrett led the way with 10 points as the Kougars beat Crown Point 39-36 in a game at KVHS.”

Barrett’s points came on 2 field goals, 1 three pointer and 3 of 4 free throws during the game.

Crown Point was led by Ellie VanDeel’s 17 points and Taylor Tyndall added 6. Crown Point fell to 8-8 overall while Kankakee Valley improved their record to 0-0.

Crown Point’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Friday Jan. 19 at 4:00pm versus Chesterton. Kankakee Valley will host Crown Point on Tuesday Jan. 16 at 5:00pm.
