Minnewaska Area’s Maddie Thorfinnson led all scorers with 25 points as the Lakers beat Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints 62-35 in a game at Glenwood.

Thorfinnson’s points came on 3 field goals, 5 three pointers and 4 of 6 free throws during the game.

Maret Gjerde added 20. Kerkhoven Murdock Sunburg fell to 3-12 overall while Minnewaska Area improved their record to 4-6.

Kerkhoven Murdock Sunburg’s next game is scheduled to be played at on Tuesday Mar. 2 versus Canby. Minnewaska Area will travel to on Monday Mar. 1 to play Eden Valley Watkins.
