Walnut Wildcats beat Hickory Flat Rebels 56-44 in Mississippi high school basketball game

Walnut’s Madilynn Vuncannon led all scorers with 35 points as the Wildcats beat Hickory Flat Rebels 56-44 in a game at Walnut Attendance Center.

Vuncannon’s points came on 7 field goals, 2 three pointers and 15 of 15 free throws during the game.

Abigail Tatum added 20. Hickory Flat fell to 6-12 overall while Walnut improved their record to 10-7.

Hickory Flat’s next game is scheduled to be played at Coldwater High School on Friday Jan. 14 versus Coldwater. Walnut will host Belmont on Friday Jan. 14
