Hoggard Vikings cruises by Topsail Pirates 38-7 in North Carolina high school football game

Hoggard High School quarterback Gabe Johnson racked up 175 passing yards to help the Hoggard Vikings to a 38-7 win over the Topsail Pirates on Thursday night at Wilmington, NC in a high school football game.
The Vikings also received key efforts from running back Sam Williams who rushed 13 times for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns and wide receiver Chad Hollar who caught 6 passes for 91 yards.
Topsail’s Travis Cain threw for 88 yards and 1 touchdown, Gavin Ellis picked up 26 rushing yards and Connor Wilson had 88 receiving yards and 1 touchdown.
The win helps Hoggard improve to 6-0 on the season while Topsail falls to 4-2. Tonight’s game was the first matchup between the two teams.
Hoggard travels to Southport, NC to face off against the South Brunswick Cougars on Monday April 5. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season.
